The Weeping Lecturer

In the morning, the heavens opened and it began to rain. Bella grabbed her umbrella to get to school, as she walked out of the hostel the first

Fate

Ella, the daughter of Uju and the grand daughter of Uzo was a destined child. She was so beautiful and endowed by her Chi.
"Ella, how are you?" asked Mr Ojukwu. "Am fine sir," Ella replied.

"I guess you are here for the job?" Ojukwu asked.
" yes sir," replied Ella.
"i believe you know the terms and condition we operate here?" Mr Ojukwu asked. Ella was confused at the question. Mr Ojukwu was busy roaming all over Ella with his spectacles. Ella became shy and uncomfortable as Mr Ojukwu stared at her owlishly.
"i dont understand you sir," said Ella.

He walked close to her and started petting her with his flat hand. He was approaching to her boobs before she screamed and didn't know when she unconsciously resorted to slapping him. "you slapped me? Now leave my office. Are you holier than others that give in to me? Local girl!" he insulted and rained abuses on her while she left his office.
" oh God must i give in to their advances before i get lucrative job? I have been to five companies same demand keep on recurring. Is it not better i give up my holy life to give in to their request?" she thought.

No doubt Ella was very bright if not the smartest student of her time at Uniport. She wondered why her first class in Accounting couldn't vail her a job. "is there nothing like meritocracy in this country anymore? Must it be all about 'who you know'? If you don't have people on top no job for you. Or better still keep on sleeping with men to get job? no i wont do that," she paused and continued. "ok look at it now, every minute i receive phone call from my classmates who were complete dull brains  and known as dummies when we were in school, all they will tell me is how they get appointment, interviewed and given instant apppointment. Why must my own be different?" she kept scolding herself. "Ella what is the problem with you? You are talking to yourself alone," Ify asked. Ella walked and passed Ify. She ignored her because she was devastated. In life one thing is to acquire sound education and another is to get a good job. Ella had gone to several interviews and passed but at the end the job would be given to someone else who didn't merit it.
"Ella wisen up! Grow up girl," Angela said to Ella. Angela was her coursemate, she wasn't a bright student but one could imagine through her boldness and proud to talk to Ella that she did what supppsed to be done before she got to her position in the bank.

"what is the thing that is supposed to be done?" Ella asked.
"you have always been naive i know. Anyway if you must know, i gave the manager his own and he gave me the job in return. It is all about give and take," she said.
"God of mercy you did what? Angel of all people. A devoted member of Scripture union back then at school," Ella lamented.
"Saint virgin Mary, you will die seeking for job," said Angela.

Ella went home that day and began to pray for God's intervention. The following day. She took off. She arrived at a bank that announced vacancy on radio. The job description was her qualification. Immediately she entered the bank, the interviewer asked her just one question. She was instantly given the job to resume the next day.

Unfortunately Angela incurred loss to the bank. She lost huge amount of money for the bank so the bank terminated her job. "i am rip off of my job last week," Angela cried to Ella.
"it is a pity. Take heart okay," Ella said and paused a while before, " i am inviting you to my wedding ceremony next month," Ella said and gave the invitation card to Angela.

Question:
What do you think that caused Angela to loose her job?

Was it actually because of the loss of bank money?

Things you should expect when you connect with your spot

Get out of the rat race. After all, if you win, you will simply be the big rat. Stop running in the competition. The only person you should compete with is yourself. "how well am I performing in my leadership spot," is what you should ask yourself. You have to know that the battery does not compete with a spark plug, because the battery knows the spark plug can never be a battery, and so on. They sit in the engine in their spots and serve the engine their gift without competing

Why does negative behaviour continue?

It works. There is some kind of payoff, some type of momentary satisfaction that is derived from not changing. The reward might be financial or psychological. Some people will continue unproductive behaviour to seek approval, acceptance, praise, or love. Others continue their unacceptable actions out of pride, greed or a sense of personal fulfilment. They may oppress others with their need to always be right because they treasure being right- even if it destroys a relationship.

Adding value to other people is the work of a positive influencer

As you move up to the higher levels of influence and become an active influencer, you can begin to have a positive influence on people and add value on their lives. That's true for any positive influencer. The baby-sitter who reads to the child encourages him to love books and helps him become a lifelong learner. The teacher who puts his faith, confidence, and love on a child helps the child to feel valued and good about herself. That boss who delegates to the employees and gives them authority as well as responsibility enlarges their horizons and empowers them to become better workers and people. Even the parents who know how to give their children grace and when to, also help them to stay open and communicative. All of these people add lasting value to the lives of other people. One thing is this, we don't know what kind of influence you have on others, today as you read this article. Your actions may touch the lives of thousands of people. Perhaps you use the opportunity
