Reasons why people fail to understand others

Barriers of understanding, as these are the core reasons;
Fear factor
As we know very well that fear is man's greatest enemy. FEAR - False Evidence Appearing Real. Fear is evident in the places of work, as a labourer in the organization, subordinate reactions toward their superior. Such situations causes undue suspicion, lack of communication, affects the growth of organization.
Some of the reasons why they do
this is,

• They think their ideas will be rejected
• They feel coworkers won't like the ideas
• They think they won't get credit if they ideas work
• They are afraid the superior will be threatened by the ideas. 
• They are concerned that they will be labeled as troublemakers or those in rapport to bring down the organization 
• Probably they are afraid they might lose their job if they suggest ideas that don't work. 

All those shouldn't be reasons at all, unfortunately they are but the main point here is that all this revolve around fear are just result of fear.

Callousness/self centeredness
If fear isn't the barrier to understanding, the other reason may be self centeredness, introvert attitude. One of most problems some people have is the impression of- as long as it doesn't concern me, why should i worry or... This thinking is wrong. You have to learn to put self in other's shoe. Though everyone is not self-centered in purpose  anyways but then it's just in some of us nature to think of our own first.

It's interesting to know that one best way you can avoid or overcome this natural tendency of self centeredness is to try to see things in other people's perspective. It requires desire and commitment to always try to see things from the other person's point of view with these you can change your attitude from self centeredness to understanding.
