You fought like none had ever done
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder high
Today the battle field all soldiers come,
You fought like non had ever done
Shoulder high we bring you home,
And set you down at your resting corner
From the battle field where glory does not stay
When we warn that fight cannot stand
To bring peace and unity we stand
No victor no vanguish
Anything that brings about war
That brings about killing you regret as a soldier
War is like venom that kills in an eye blink
Eyes the shady night has shut
Cannot see the record cut,
And silence sounds no worse than cheers
After earth has stopped the ears:
So set before its echoes fade,
That chaos in the battle field cannot withstand
To wear those heavy soldier boots, helmet
The bulletproof jacket and armour of war yet,
will flock to gaze the strengthless dead.
The still-defended challenge-cup,
War is not for children but freedom we must...
