The Weeping Lecturer

In the morning, the heavens opened and it began to rain. Bella grabbed her umbrella to get to school, as she walked out of the hostel the first

Why people find it difficult to control their emotions

There are many reasons why people do not feel good emotionally. Life events over which they have no control, losing loved ones through accidents or illness and losing job and financial support. Personal illness or accident disrupt entire families. Catastrophic disasters like fires, flood, earthquake etc. See also "Facts of life and problems of life" People also struggle with minor negative habits they would like to have victory over. These habits may not be terrible in and of  themselves, but they are a cause of constant irritation to the person with the habit and those around him or her. See "What habit do you desire to change?"

Habit is a habit and not to be flung out of the window by any man but coaxed downstairs a step at a time. There are some individuals that develop irrational and unwarranted fears that are commonly called phobias. Even though people may be aware that the fears are groundless, they still struggle with ridding themselves of that fear.

However, along with phobias, some individuals develop obsessions and compulsions—an obsession takes the form of a repetitive and uncontrollable thought. People are unable to shake off their thoughts. They might take the form of self accusatory put-downs, such as I'm no good, I can't do anything right, I always make a fool of myself. Often the people think they're losing their minds.

Sometimes they continually think of antisocial acts or vulgar thoughts. They might be filled with insistent doubts about their own functioning, other people's love for them, or how God could possibly love them because they are too bad and sinful.

People with obsession often have a difficult time making decisions. They do not trust their own memory. They always double and triple check to see if the door is locked, the light are turned out, and the iron is unplugged. Sometimes they will reopen the envelopes they have just sealed for reassurance that everything was included and filled out correctly. These obsessive behaviours drain energy. They hamper mental health and may even affect physical health.

Unusually obsessive behaviours are associated with some type of guilt feelings or unworthiness. Often they are tied to the fact that the person came from a home where the parents were punitive, prohibiting and unforgiving.

Integrity is the foundation no doubt it's for loving and enduring relationships. It takes humility to live by principles of integrity. If you were loving person you would be proud of yourself for living in integrity. Integrity sustains and strengthens intimacy in relationships. With integrity in relationships it means no lie. It also means there is no hidden agenda. It also means you can be trusted and there is reliability both your words and actions must be true.

Why does negative behaviour continue?

It works. There is some kind of payoff, some type of momentary satisfaction that is derived from not changing. The reward might be financial or psychological. Some people will continue unproductive behaviour to seek approval, acceptance, praise, or love. Others continue their unacceptable actions out of pride, greed or a sense of personal fulfilment. They may oppress others with their need to always be right because they treasure being right- even if it destroys a relationship.

Reasons why opposites Attract each other

Is there anything opposite than male and female? Yet they still attract each other after so many decades. In fact, the future of the race is dependent on such attraction. But unfortunately they fail to realize that their physical differences are only symbolic of the many other differences in their nature, the most significant of which are " temperaments ". Good to know, a negative is never attracted to another negative and positives repel each other in any field.
