Who great leaders really are

Great leaders are those who use their position of power to serve; always serving humanity. Mentioning of such leaders, we have great men of valour like, Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, and a host of others.

The first question is, asked yourself, why do i have to lead or to be in power? To serve or to be served?
You also must have it at the back of your head that:
An unexamined motive is not worth pursuing likewise an unexamined life is
not worth living.

This is because it's obvious God makes servants not leaders. He loves and cherish it when He sees His children serve others. You can only serve when you are humble. Pride lies our problem. If you allow pride take over you that is when you misinterpret leadership.

The two great men I earlier mentioned are typical example of servant leaders and you can justify how famous they have been, even at their death, their memories still live. Why? Because they chose to humble to serve and to bring freedom to others.

One thing you must know is that every great leader must suffer to serve others. A great leader is selfless. He doesn't care what becomes of him, all his pursuit is for the joy and happiness of the people he represents. To be at their service, no matter what it costs.

Great leaders are sacrificial lambs that's why most of us choose to be selfish leaders instead of selfless leaders. Selfless leaders are servant leaders. Your reign of power if not used to better the lives of people batters their lives. Only selfish leaders batter the lives of their led.

A great leader should also show example of a good followers. Always put yourself in others shoes. What you give out, is what you will definitely receive. You may use cohesion to attract respect for you but what legacy do you leave. Your footprint behind you matters.
Good name is better than gold even much fine or priceless gold.

Remember, ambition fueled by compassion, wisdom and integrity, is a powerful force for good (leadership). Likewise, there is a loftier ambition in life than merely standing high in the world. It is to stoop down and lift mankind a little higher.
Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Let not your leadership power control you, you have to control your power because power if not controlled, can lead to abuse and abuse leads to losses.

Your ability to control your power determines a type of leader you are. Make and Mar your leadership position through your attitude and behaviour; "repugnant leadership style" brings downfall of a leader. Always implore wisdom and knowledge in your rule.
