The Weeping Lecturer

In the morning, the heavens opened and it began to rain. Bella grabbed her umbrella to get to school, as she walked out of the hostel the first

Keziah the wanted spinster

If I never knew Keziah and her self barter to numerous of them I would never had believed you," Zack said. "You are right if you had known her for that indecent lifestyle of insignificant

people. She has chosen to be classified as a morally bankrupt person in the class of wayward women. It's quite unfortunate," Mudu confessed.

Mudu wasn't shying away his feelings or thoughts about Keziah. Read also Maggoty. It was one of the challenges single ladies face. They face molestation, abuse and most times assault hence Keziah's case wasn't a difference. Men were making passes at her. A day wouldn't pass without complaint of advances at her. She didn't want any of them especially when she found out it was friendship.

Keziah was the tallest among her other siblings but the oldest. Her younger sisters were all married. She was always praying for a day to have hers but that day seemed not coming soon. She was beginning to lose hope that she began to consider men's proposals. Then mouths began to talk about her. They knew it wasn't her but frustration and her lack of being consistent in her faith. She lost her faith so sudden and unexpected.

People thought she would be more patient and a little trusted in her faith but she disappointed their beliefs in her. Keziah was going out and coming in with men in her father's house. It was quite unfortunate their father was dead and the mother couldn't talk her out of it because she was one of the persons who kept frustrating her that drove her into prostitution in a bid to get a husband.

Men continued using her and disappointing and finally dumping her like a piece of trash. "Is it that fairly used tokunbo girl? Keziah the free giver," people knew her for her cheerful giving. Peoples description of Keziah was not good at all. The truth was that Keziah wasn't being paid by men. She would quickly give in to their advances thinking it would end in marriage. At times she would pack some of her clothes to live with them see also cohabitation. She would live as their would-be wife, cooking, doing laundry for them, ironing their clothes and warming their beds for them. Whenever each of them got tired of her would call off their relationship and quit. Men kept coming in her life and walking out with plenty of pace.

Each time Keziah came out of any relationship she felt empty. All her relationships were all abortive results on the end. Her reason for engaging in such lifestyle—marriage was far from the end results. Until she was so unlucky to be infected with Sexually Transmitted Disease. She couldn't cure it because she had no money. She died shortly afterward.

Nobody cautioned her when she living that lifestyle for her to retreat from her wrong move and decision neither did anyone counsel and encourage her that she would get married with strong trust in God not even her mother. Her mother was even her headache whose constant abuses and rain of insults which were adding salt to her wound and sorrow, her wound of singlehood serving as reminder that she was growing old without a man to call her husband was what pushed her away into prostitution.

Don't ever allow what people say about you define your future and dictate your life for you. Always implore patience. Your time is coming pretty soon for your success. Remain consistent in your faith and don't let anyone take away your joy.

Things you should expect when you connect with your spot

Get out of the rat race. After all, if you win, you will simply be the big rat. Stop running in the competition. The only person you should compete with is yourself. "how well am I performing in my leadership spot," is what you should ask yourself. You have to know that the battery does not compete with a spark plug, because the battery knows the spark plug can never be a battery, and so on. They sit in the engine in their spots and serve the engine their gift without competing

Why does negative behaviour continue?

It works. There is some kind of payoff, some type of momentary satisfaction that is derived from not changing. The reward might be financial or psychological. Some people will continue unproductive behaviour to seek approval, acceptance, praise, or love. Others continue their unacceptable actions out of pride, greed or a sense of personal fulfilment. They may oppress others with their need to always be right because they treasure being right- even if it destroys a relationship.

Adding value to other people is the work of a positive influencer

As you move up to the higher levels of influence and become an active influencer, you can begin to have a positive influence on people and add value on their lives. That's true for any positive influencer. The baby-sitter who reads to the child encourages him to love books and helps him become a lifelong learner. The teacher who puts his faith, confidence, and love on a child helps the child to feel valued and good about herself. That boss who delegates to the employees and gives them authority as well as responsibility enlarges their horizons and empowers them to become better workers and people. Even the parents who know how to give their children grace and when to, also help them to stay open and communicative. All of these people add lasting value to the lives of other people. One thing is this, we don't know what kind of influence you have on others, today as you read this article. Your actions may touch the lives of thousands of people. Perhaps you use the opportunity
