The Weeping Lecturer

In the morning, the heavens opened and it began to rain. Bella grabbed her umbrella to get to school, as she walked out of the hostel the first

On my way to Los Angeles

Los Angeles is a very popular city, talking of beautiful city, it is a very exciting city in the State of California. Wow! You really need to hear more about Los Angeles," June said awfully. "Los Angeles is the heartbeat and centre of entertainment, " June began to narrate. "It is a sprawling Southern California city; the centre of the nation's film and television industry," he nodded his head amazingly.

Looking at Nathan's face, very straightforward, curiosity was written all over it. Nathan throwing his face at her, she smiled to notice that her story was captivating his imagination. He listened keenly with eyes and ears, he didn't want to miss out any part of the story. So he wouldn't want a distraction that might divide his attention. Meanwhile he looked bewildered

He had longed to be a traveler someday and he confessed to Jube that he would love to gave Los Angeles 'travel guide' to help him because it would be the first city he would be going on a tour. June continued enticing Nathan to make him more interested in the city.

She really got Nathan carried away with her Los Angeles story "Near its iconic Hollywood sign, studios such as Paramount Pictures, Universal and Warner Brothers—offer 'behind the scenes tours'. On Hollywood Boulevard, TCL Chinese Theatre which displays celebrities’ hand and footprints, the 'Walk of Fame' honours thousands of luminaries and vendors sell maps to stars’ homes, you really need to be there anytime soon Nathan," she spoke awfully.

"Sounds like you have been regularly paying this exciting city a visit?" Nathan asked. He was so sure that June had not left streets of Ikeja to neighbouring cities or towns in the west. "Later I will tell you how and when I travelled to Los Angeles," she said.

Now she remembered Nathan mentioned about 'travel guide' to the beautiful city of Los Angeles—free city, full of entertainment and amusement parks, but she had no answer to that so she swiftly moved her head to switch to another thing, "Los Angeles is a city with the total population of 3.99 million inhabitants as at then," she said convincingly.

"I had this dream where I found myself in the adorable city of Los Angeles," Nathan was shocked to hear this but pretended. This time he remained frozen and lost interest in her fairy tales but wanted to make her feel he was still interested and happy to hear her story so, he asked her, "when did you have the dream?"

She paused and wished she had thwarted him from asking the question, she pursed her face with the index finger on her cheek, "hmmmm, ahe, ugh, I can't remember really. That was long time... ehmm late the year 2018, yeah," she said. Nathan could see proud in her eyes.

As she said this Nathan standing up now, looked at her blindly and later glaring at the space in the air. He moved his face, his face was burning hot and bitterness in his heart. He was looking confused though, he was actually trying to gather some momentum. But he had to think out some sensible way of reacting to his disappointment.

"Yes, I now recall, the weather, someone in the dream told me their weather is 66% humidity, 16°C, Wind W at 0 km/h. You can't afford to miss being there. I feel I'm on my way to Los..." before she could finish her words, "shut up your lying mouth, sweet and magnetic tongue," he barked like he was going to tear her apart. His rude interruption got her agitated. Butterflies dancing in her belly now. She read the aggression in him. Shaking his head, and rotated his body, he bit his finger, "I just wasted my time," he lamented.

She quickly slumped to the seat in fear. Nathan's voice frightened her, that she moved her lips but didn't utter a word. She twitched her mouth in pain. She really had no choice than to swallow her reserved... 'Angeles'. She became scared to talk again.

Things you should expect when you connect with your spot

Get out of the rat race. After all, if you win, you will simply be the big rat. Stop running in the competition. The only person you should compete with is yourself. "how well am I performing in my leadership spot," is what you should ask yourself. You have to know that the battery does not compete with a spark plug, because the battery knows the spark plug can never be a battery, and so on. They sit in the engine in their spots and serve the engine their gift without competing

Why does negative behaviour continue?

It works. There is some kind of payoff, some type of momentary satisfaction that is derived from not changing. The reward might be financial or psychological. Some people will continue unproductive behaviour to seek approval, acceptance, praise, or love. Others continue their unacceptable actions out of pride, greed or a sense of personal fulfilment. They may oppress others with their need to always be right because they treasure being right- even if it destroys a relationship.

Adding value to other people is the work of a positive influencer

As you move up to the higher levels of influence and become an active influencer, you can begin to have a positive influence on people and add value on their lives. That's true for any positive influencer. The baby-sitter who reads to the child encourages him to love books and helps him become a lifelong learner. The teacher who puts his faith, confidence, and love on a child helps the child to feel valued and good about herself. That boss who delegates to the employees and gives them authority as well as responsibility enlarges their horizons and empowers them to become better workers and people. Even the parents who know how to give their children grace and when to, also help them to stay open and communicative. All of these people add lasting value to the lives of other people. One thing is this, we don't know what kind of influence you have on others, today as you read this article. Your actions may touch the lives of thousands of people. Perhaps you use the opportunity
