We are going to start with this statement which is common to everybody-'"power corrupts but absolute power corrupts absolutely".
Nearly all men can stand adversity but if you want to test a man's character, give him power. I tell you few people in the world today have greater power and influence than the president of any highly influenced countries.
Use power to help- if only we know why we are given power or what is required of anyone that has or that is in power
believe you me most people will be running away from getting or acquiring power. Power once it's given you have doubled your responsibility.
We are given power not to advance our own purposes nor to make a great show in the world, nor to enlarge our coast nor a name. There is just but one use of power which is- to serve people. And to keep your ambition in check and the focus of your influence on helping and serving others these you must do.
Remember to always ask yourself this but one pertinent question: "if the whole world followed me would the world be a better place?"

When people begin to trust you, your level of influence increases and that's when you will be able to start impacting in their lives. But then it's also the time to be careful because power can be dangerous thing. In most cases those who want power probably shouldn't have it- those who enjoy it probably do so for the wrong reasons. And those who want most to hold on it don't understand that it's only temporary.
The moment you earn people's trust- you begin to earn their confidence and that's one of the keys of influence.
Mind you for you to be a leader, you must have followers, and it's expected that you must have their confidence.
The Supreme quality for a leader is unquestionable "integrity"- without this no real success is possible no matter what's involved not only official position but any kind of business a man does in life.
