they write, and don't ask them what they believe, just observe what they do. 

Affliction come to us all not to make us sad,  but sober, not to make us sorry, but wise; not to make us despondent, but its darkness refreshes us, as the night refreshes the day; not to impoverish, but to enrich us,  as the plow enriches the field; to multiply our joy, as the seed, by planting, is multiplied a thousandfold.

Many of our fears are tissue paper-thin, and a single courageous step would carry us clear through them. 

Hating people is like burning down your own house to get rid of a rat. 

Worry is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. It encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained. 

A man that studies revenge keeps his own wounds green which otherwise would heal and do well.

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely,  or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quite alone with the heavens, nature,  and God. Because only then would someone feel that all is as it should be any that God wishes to see people happy amidst the simple beauty of nature. 

Don't wait until you lose something before you turn a new leaf.

The truth that many people don't understand, unroll it's too late,  is that the more you try to avoid suffering the more you suffer because smaller and more insignificant things begin to torture you in proportion to your fear of being hurt.
