The Weeping Lecturer

In the morning, the heavens opened and it began to rain. Bella grabbed her umbrella to get to school, as she walked out of the hostel the first

Importance of Peacebuilding

The youths have vital roles to play in the society and peacebuilding is one of them. That’s why we are seen as the future leaders and that is why we find ourselves in various places for assignments, and acts such as this is to be carried out by us to ensure absence of conflicts in every community. We have to maintain peace in any community we find our ourselves in.

What is peace? Peace is a societal friendship and harmony in the absence of hostility and violence. In other word, peace is the absence of conflict. Peace is a harmonious relationship between different parties, groups or individuals in agreement, sharing in same ideology.
Just like Dr Hyunjin Preston Moon, the founder and chairman of global peace foundation (GPF) whose foundation focuses on a common vision, universal principles and shared values, guides in building innovative models of peace, development and a global network.

Meanwhile, we ought to inculcate sense of Peacebuilding, through observing propriety in manner and conduct—self discipline in order to help improve our lives as youths. When you take a look around the base banderole is the Nigeria’s national motto since 1978: which says—unity and faith; peace and progress. Once we have peace we have this overwhelming feeling of belongingness and inspirited with a peaceful mind, clear thoughts and new ideas would be nurtured.

Peacebuilding is an activity that aims to resolve injustice in nonviolent ways and to transform the cultural and structural conditions that generate deadly or destructive conflict. Peacebuilding revolves around developing constructive personal, group and political relationships across ethnic, religious, class, national and racial boundaries.

For peacebuilding, the process involves:
Violence prevention, Conflict management,
Resolution or transformation. We also have what is called post-conflict reconciliation or trauma healing.

Things you should expect when you connect with your spot

Get out of the rat race. After all, if you win, you will simply be the big rat. Stop running in the competition. The only person you should compete with is yourself. "how well am I performing in my leadership spot," is what you should ask yourself. You have to know that the battery does not compete with a spark plug, because the battery knows the spark plug can never be a battery, and so on. They sit in the engine in their spots and serve the engine their gift without competing

Why a lot of people do not end well

Many a man in life does not get to their destination, they never achieve their purpose, they never used their gift, why? Because they live a careful life, always trying to avoid risk. Because they are not willing to do something imperfect or try to do something new. They would never try to face off with their fears and risk failure. Their answer to risk taking is to play it safe. But you can not please God by playing it safe and you can not succeed in life without taking risks. When you are so afraid of failure that you don't even try, you can not please God. Because when you try not to do something because of fear of failure , that leads to barrenness and futility to your purpose in life. See also , " playing it safe costs ".
